What should I expect during my training sessions?

Your sessions will last about one hour each. During your first session, your trainer will assess your fitness level, goals, health history and measure your body composition. These details are valuable for tracking your progress and are recorded using a variety of assessment tools. Future sessions will consist of various flexibility, strength training and cardiovascular exercises.

What should I look for in a personal trainer?

A personal trainer should be certified through an accredited personal training organization, have current certification in CPR and may have a bachelor's degree in exercise science or a related health or fitness field. If you are seeking a specialized workout program, such as triathlon training, choose a trainer with experience in that area. During training sessions, they should listen to your concerns, give their undivided attention and evaluate your progress to ensure that you're meeting your goals.
