U.S. News & World Report Names CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler Among Best in Texas

Washington DC – August 1, 2017 – CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler has been recognized as one of the best hospitals for the Common Adult Procedures and Conditions of Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Cardio Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Aortic Valve Surgery and Knee Replacement 2017-18 in by U.S. News & World Report. CHRISTUS Mother France Hospital – Tyler was also ranked the 12th best hospital in the state of Texas and designated as “Recognized” in the Piney Woods Region.

 

CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler provides high-quality, award-winning emergency and specialty care services to residents across dozens of communities in Northeast Texas. The annual Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 28th year, are part of U.S. News’ patient portal, designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures.

CHRISTUS Mother France Hospital – Tyler was also ranked the 12th best hospital in the state of Texas and designated as “Recognized” in the Piney Woods Region. With more than 500 acute-care hospitals in Texas, this ranking places CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital - Tyler in the top 2-percent of facilities in the state.

 

For the 2017-18 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 146 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
