CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic - OB|GYN Opens New Facility

New Tyler Medical Park location offers patients improved access, expanded space and state-of-the-art care

TYLER, TX – After months of construction the new CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic – OB|GYN within the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances - Tyler Medical Park will be open to the public and patients of CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System during an Open House on June 23 from 11am-1pm. The newly updated facility, located at the intersection of Beckham and Fifth streets in Tyler, offers advanced facilities providing the highest quality of care and increased access to needed health care services for the women of Northeast Texas.

The OB|GYN Clinic will begin seeing patients at the new location June 19, and will be open Monday through Thursday, from 8am until 5pm, and Friday from 8am until noon. The new facility will feature 30 large exam rooms, 13 offices for providers and five separate stations for nursing staff. The support service facilities will also be updated with newly designed non-stress LEEP/Ultrasound rooms, as well as the addition of an onsite lab for faster processing and test results for patients.

“This 15,500 square-foot facility will house the 10 OB\GYN physicians and Advance Practice Providers, with space for needed expansion and the addition of more health care providers in the future,” said Mark Skains, Administrative Director of OB|GYN for CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System. “Because it is the goal of CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System to always seek innovation and to improve upon our award-winning services, the new Clinic has also incorporated design changes and an exam room experience based on feedback and research from best practices for medical offices across the nation.”

The original facility hosting the OB|GYN clinic was constructed in 1984, and the volume of patients and providers necessitated the move to a large facility.

“The number of women we serve from Tyler and the surrounding areas has continued to grow over the last several years, and as providers, we recognize the need to expand our facilities to meet their needs,” said Paul Fanning, M.D., OB|GYN. “The location is beautiful, updated, easily accessible for our patients and has space to expand should that need arise in the future. I know I speak for everyone in the Clinic when I say we are truly thrilled to get to work serving patients here.”

“The new OB|GYN was designed to be a modern adaptation of the heritage found in CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic locations throughout Northeast Texas. It will have a positive impact on the patient’s experience when they make the choice to trust us with their health care,” said Steven Keuer, M.D., the System’s Chief Medical Officer and President, CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. “So many women and mothers have entrusted us with providing their care and helping to grow their families over the years, and this new facility will be home to many more generations to come.”

“Through our previous CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic OB|GYN facilities, women’s services and community involvement, CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System has played a large role in the lives of the women in our communities for many years,” said Chris Glenney, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System. “This new clinic is part of our long-term plan to better serve the women of Northeast Texas with expanded access to the services they need, while fulfilling our Mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”
