Trinity Clinic Chandler Offering Extended Hours To Patients

TYLER, TX – Beginning immediately, Trinity Clinic Chandler is now offering extended hours on Wednesdays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. to better serve the busy men, women and children who rely on this location for their important primary care medical needs.

“Patients are not always ill only between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Additionally, they are not always able to seek medical care during those hours,” said Scott Smith, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief of the Primary Care Institute at Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics. “While it is essential that our clinics offer the very best care available to our patients, it is equally as important that we provide access to that care in a manner that is compatible with the daily lives of the people of East Texas. Constantly seeking to improve access for our patients is a foundational element of providing them the highest level of care possible.”

Before the change was made, Trinity Mother Frances surveyed the patients of Trinity Clinic Chandler to see how they could be best be helped through the expansion of operational hours.

“A critical piece of providing excellent care is listening to your patients,” said Denee Hill, Clinic Manager for Trinity Clinic Chandler. “We surveyed our patients at Trinity Clinic Chandler to find out what they wanted, and to learn how we could better serve them. We asked, they responded and we listened. People need that extra time before and after school and work to seek medical care for their families. Now, the clinic is open for three additional hours every Wednesday, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.”

Established patients have the opportunity to make appointments during these extended hours. Once established, patients may then make use of the additional hours as needed.

“This is only the beginning,” said Dr. Smith. “We are also looking to expand access at other clinics throughout the system through increased operational hours and days. Connecting patients with the medical care they need is crucial to the mission of Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics. Constantly seeking to improve access for our patients is a foundational element of providing them the highest level of care possible.”
