Health and Safety Organizations to Stage Region-Wide Emergency Preparedness Drill

TYLER, TX — Trinity Mother Frances, East Texas Medical Center and many more health and safety organizations will be participating in an emergency preparedness drill on April 8, 2015.

Cherokee County is participating on April 8, only, in the regional exercise with 19 other counties that will take place over several days throughout Texas. The drill will simulate influenza pandemic. Participating in the Drill will be Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, ETMC-Jacksonville, Autry Funeral Home, Wallace Thompson Funeral Home, Jacksonville Fire Department, Jacksonville Police Department, Champion EMS, ETMC EMS, Cherokee County Emergency Management, Cherokee County Public Health, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, ETCOG, RAC-G, Tyler Junior College Nursing, The Red Cross, Senior Care Center-Jacksonville and Twin Oaks Rehab Center-Jacksonville.

This is a Drill Only – no patients will be affected.
