Children's Miracle Network Celebration Celebrates Successes

Children's Miracle Network 2015 TelethonTYLER, TX - The 28th Children's Miracle Network Celebration at Mother Frances Hospital Tyler closed Sunday with over $1,037,695 in fundraising totals for pediatric services. The event was broadcast Saturday and Sunday on KYTX CBS-19 Television and featured local and national celebrities, Miracle Children's stories, and vignettes of the extensive pediatric care provided at Mother Frances Hospital and through Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics.

“CMN Miracle Children" are those who battle a medical trauma or serious illness. Mother Frances Hospital is one of 170 hospitals throughout North America that provide care for 14 million children and benefit from the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) organization. One hundred percent of local funds raised this weekend will stay in East Texas.
Generous funds donated throughout the year and during the telecast buy life-saving equipment, and support special programs and educational materials for pediatric services offered through Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics.

A community advisory committee, with representatives from area businesses that support the Children's Miracle Network, allocates the funds for specific pediatric services.

”The Celebration gives viewers in East Texas the chance to learn the Miracle Families' stories of hope that were made possible through the tremendous generosity of local and national sponsors and contributors," said Robin Rowan, Children's Miracle Network Director, Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics. "It is also an opportunity to enjoy a weekend of entertainment while supporting the children who benefit from pediatric care provided through Trinity Mother Frances. Thanks to the viewers and our volunteers who worked so hard, and to CBS-19 for being our partner."
Mrs. Rowan also noted the Celebration funds benefit the Trinity Mother Frances Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and the Pediatric Special Needs Clinic, which is the only site in the region serving families whose children have chronic and complex medical conditions as well as provides a Child Life Specialist on the Children’s Center.

Children’s Miracle Network designated Mother Frances Hospital in 1987 as the East Texas region’s Children’s Miracle Network hospital, enabling us to provide specialized technology and services designed specifically to care for pediatric patients.

Funds raised through the annual Children’s Miracle Network Celebration have provided life-saving equipment in the Mother Frances Hospital Children’s Center, Special Care Nursery, Emergency Care Center, Tyler Square Ambulatory Surgery Center, Special Needs Clinic and Mother Frances Hospitals-Jacksonville and Winnsboro.
One hundred percent of donations to Children’s Miracle Network stay right here in our community to support pediatric services provided by Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics.
