TRINITY CLINIC PHYSICIAN ACHIEVES CERTIFICATION
TYLER, TX - Mark D. Hiatt, MD, a diagnostic radiologist with Trinity Clinic, has achieved the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS). CPHIMS is a certification awarded by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society in Chicago that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the field of healthcare information and management systems.
The CPHIMS program provides an objective and rigorous assessment of professional competency and knowledge. To earn the CPHIMS designation, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education as well as pass the CPHIMS examination.
The CPHIMS examination tests knowledge required of competent healthcare information and management systems professionals in the areas of healthcare; technology; systems analysis, design, selection, implementation, support, maintenance, testing, evaluation, data integrity, security, and privacy; leadership; and management.
Dr. Hiatt completed his medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Master's Degree in Health Evaluation Sciences and research residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Virginia, and fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at Stanford University. One of Dr. Hiatt's interests is imaging the coronary arteries by computed tomography (CT), which patients can have done at Mother Frances Hospital on a multidetector scanner.
