WOOF WOOF… BOW WOW HAPPY HOWL-O-WEEN!
(Tyler, TX) Ghosts and goblins come in all shapes and sizes including Simon the German Shepherd, Babe the Labrador Retriever, and Cuddles the Cockatoo. These are just three of the 18 therapy dogs and 1 bird from Therapet Animal Assisted Therapy Foundation that will be trick-or-treating in full costume (with their coordinating owners) to each patient’s room at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation Hospital, Wednesday, October 28th at 6:00pm. This year marks the 15th year Therapet has trick-or-treated to patients.
Therapet Animal Assisted Therapy Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the use of animals in the healing and rehabilitation of acute and chronically ill individuals.
Many facilities and organizations benefit from Therapet’s services including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, senior centers, and pediatric facilities. In addition, Therapet volunteers participate in a variety of special events throughout the community.
