AREA YOUTH WIN HONORS IN
PEPSI MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL®
PITCH, HIT & RUN™ COMPETITION

As many as 75 participants competed in the Pitch, Hit & Run™ Competition hosted by Trinity Mother Frances SportsCARE on Saturday, May 6 at Golden Road Park.

These participants won first place honors in their respective age groups. They are:

Age 7/8
Overall Champion: Duke Ellis
Pitch Champion: Jack Sherrell
Hit Champion: Tully Greer
Run Champion: Duke Ellis

Age 9/10
Overall Champion: Coleman Patterson
Pitch Champion: Witt Seeber & Coleman Patterson (tie)
Hit Champion: Patrick Mahomes
Run Champion: Jake Parker

Age 11/12
Overall Champion: Heath Richardson
Pitch Champion: Heath Richardson
Hit Champion: Dillon Dale
Run Champion: Garrett Newman

Age 13/14
Overall Champion: Alex Eng
Pitch Champion: JB Moss
Hit Champion: Blake Smith
Run Champion: Hayden Tomlinson

The winners will now compete in the Sectional competition, to be held Saturday, May 21, 2006 in Greenville. Sectional All-Around Champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship, to be held at The Ballpark at Arlington with the Texas Rangers.

Pitch, Hit & Run™ is a baseball skills competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting and running with scores determined by individual performances in each skills event.
