Trinity Mother Frances Holds Open House For Winnsboro Facility

Trinity Mother Frances Hos pitals and Clinics held an open house and ribbon-cutting to celebrate its new Winnsboro location on Thursday.
About 200 people attended the event, where there were family activities, health screenings and food for the community.
"It was a chance for all of us to get to know each other," said John Moore, public information officer for Trinity Mother Frances Hos pitals and Clinics. "It was a good family day for all of us. That's what we all are now - -- is one big family."
Earlier this week, Texas Health Resources of Arlington transferred control of Texas Health Pres byterian Hospital Winnsboro to Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, based in Tyler.
The hospital, at 719 W. Coke Road, is now known as Mother Frances Hospital-Winnsboro.
"We are proud to be a part of Winnsboro and proud to add Mother Frances Hospital-Winns boro to our family," said Ray Thompson, executive vice president/chief operation officer for Trinity Mother Frances, and CEO of Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler, in a prepared statement.
Doug Hawthorne, CEO of Texas Health Resources, said Texas Health Resources and Trinity Mo ther Frances have worked well together for many years, "mostly because we share a common re spect for faith-based values; em ployee, physician and patient satisfaction; and the delivery of safe, quality care."
"Our goal is to create a sustainable environment for the growth of the Winnsboro hospital in the long run, and we feel that the transfer to Trinity Mother Frances will be a very positive step for health care in the region," Hawthorne said in a prepared statement.
Dr. Bart Pruitt will begin seeing patients Monday at the Trinity Clinic location on the Trinity Mother Frances -- Winnsboro campus.
Pruitt will be in clinic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. A number of specialists are currently available. Trinity Clinic is exploring opportunities for additional specialists to see patients in Winnsboro in the future.
