WINNSBORO, TX -- On March 1, Texas Health Resources of Arlington, Texas transferred control of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Winnsboro to Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, based in Tyler. The hospital is now known as Mother Frances Hospital-Winnsboro.

The hospital, located at 719 W. Coke Road, will host an open house on March 4 from 3:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with a ribbon cutting and program at 4:00 p.m. The open house includes family activities, food and health screenings.

"We are proud to be a part of Winnsboro and proud to add Mother Frances Hospital-Winnsboro to our family," said Ray Thompson, Executive Vice President/COO-TMF, CEO Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler. "We look forward to meeting everyone at the open house on Thursday."

Hospital officials said that Bart Pruitt, DO, will begin seeing patients on March 8 at the Trinity Clinic location on the Trinity Mother Frances - Winnsboro campus. Dr. Pruitt will be in clinic on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. A number of specialists are currently available. Trinity Clinic is exploring opportunities for additional specialists to see patients in Winnsboro in the near future.
