About Hospitalists

A Hospitalist can be an internal medicine or family medicine physician and will have training in specialties such as cardiology, intensive care and pediatrics. Hospitalists assume the primary responsibility for managing medical and surgical patients who are admitted to the hospital. They keep the patient’s primary care physician up-to-date on their care and treatment plan. The Hospitalist program at Trinity Mother Frances has had a positive impact on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction, reducing inpatient length of stay and helping individuals return to their lives faster.
