What to expect:

  • Arrive at the Sleep Center at 8:30 p.m.
  • The night technologist will greet you and show you to your bedroom for the evening at 9:00 pm.
  • You will be asked to change into your nightclothes.
  • A series of electrodes will be attached to your head, chin, chest, stomach and legs to monitor the different activity during the sleep study.
  • Around the time of your normal bedtime, you will then lay down to go to sleep for the evening.
  • The technologist will be monitoring all the different activity throughout the evening.
  • In the morning you will be awakened by the technologist, disconnected from the electrodes and dismissed.

NOTE: Although the technologist is highly trained in sleep disorders, he/she is not permitted to give you the results after your study. The study must be analyzed and read by the physician. Please follow up with your referring physician for your results.
