CASAT AT MOTHER FRANCES HOSPITAL DESIGNATED AS ROBOTIC SURGICAL TRAINING CENTER
Ray Thompson, FACHE, executive vice president & chief operating officer, Trinity Mother Frances Health System, announces that the Center For Advanced Surgery And Technology (CASAT) at Mother Frances Hospital has been designated as a five-state area robotic surgical training site. The states include eastern Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi. Mother Frances Hospital was the site for the first robotic heart bypass surgery in east Texas in February 2004. Since then, more than 70 robotic heart surgeries have been performed.
