When someone is having a heart attack, every second counts. Knowing the signs and taking immediate action can save someone’s life.
Heart Attack Warning Signs
· Chest pain lasting more than 15 minutes
· Chest pain that goes away and comes back
· Discomfort in the jaw, neck, shoulders, arms or back
· Intense sweating or shortness of breath
· Nausea or vomiting
· Unusual chest or abdominal pain
· Cold sweats, chills or paleness
· Shortness of breath and difficulty breathing
· Unexplained anxiety, weakness or fatigue
· Nausea, vomiting or dizziness

The Trinity Mother Frances Heart Center – Jacksonville, brings the expertise of our highly skilled visiting cardiologists and state-of-the-art technology generally available only in elite hospitals in major metropolitan areas right here close to home. It features echocardiography, stress testing, EKG, Holter monitoring and cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
Our skilled cardiac rehab specialist’s utilize the latest equipment and information available to assist our heart patients in achieving complete recoveries.
The ultimate goal of cardiac rehab is to help reduce your risk of future cardiac events and to improve your health. Our cardiac rehabilitation program is a medically-supervised, two-phase program for individuals with heart disease.
Phase I begins in the hospital after a heart attack, heart surgery or other cardiac admission. This phase includes risk factor education, mobilization, home exercise instruction from the cardiac rehab team, and nutritional information.
Phase II is our outpatient, medically-supervised program. Through education and monitored exercise, individuals can safely resume their daily activities at work or at home, and can feel better while doing so. Each participant's program is unique and individually planned, including input from his/her physician, nurses, wellness specialists and the patient.
