At the Trinity Mother Frances CancerCARE Institute our specialized team of oncology nurses and staff are committed to providing quality and compassionate care, support and education to individuals and family members experiencing cancer.
Trinity Mother Frances has repeatedly received the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons-Commission on Cancer, which places us in the top 20% of accredited cancer programs. Established in 2004, the COC Outstanding Achievement Award is designed to recognize cancer programs that strive for excellence in providing quality care to cancer patients. A facility receives the award following the on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor during which time the facility demonstrates a level of compliance with seven standards that represent six areas of cancer program activity (cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, research, community outreach initiatives and quality improvement). The award is given to qualifying hospitals during the year of their triennial accreditation survey. In addition, the facility receives a compliance rating for the remaining 29 cancer program standards.

Help CURE CANCER.
Trinity Mother Frances and Texas Oncology – Tyler have joined an elite group of only 12 facilities throughout the United States to work with The International Genomics Consortium to facilitate ground breaking cancer research right here in East Texas.
Meaning, together, we will serve as a critical network tissue source site to provide cancer tissue samples for analysis in the National Institutes of Health’s historic project “The Cancer Genome Atlas Project”. Allowing us to both continue providing quality patient care and improve our ability to diagnose, treat and prevent cancer for generations to come.
