August 3 2010 - Champion EMS Donates to the Texas DPS
Champion EMS, part of Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics, donated U.S. Army-grade tourniquets to members of the Texas DPS at a presentation ceremony August 2 at the Wood County Sub-Courthouse in Mineola. The Combat Application Tourniquet, manufactured by North American Rescue, is the official tourniquet of the United States Army. The tourniquet has proven to be 100% effective in occluding blood flow in both upper and lower extremities. The tourniquet will be included in an Emergency Response Bag that DPS will issue to Troopers that will include additional medical supplies, ammunition and other specialty items.
