TMFHS WINS TELLY AWARD

TYLER, TX – Officials with Trinity Mother Frances Health System announced that the Health System’s 30 second TV animated spot called "STITCHES", created by the in-house System Marketing Department, received a national Telly Award.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1978 by David E. Carter, a past Emmy® and Clio® winner, to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. The Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies. With over 200 categories, more organizations than ever are eligible to participate. The 26th Annual Telly Awards received over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents.

The “STITCHES” message introduced robotic surgery using simple animated graphics to help the public understand the benefits of the technology. According to Mary Peterson, vice president, System Marketing, “This was a very challenging project due to the complexity of the message and the fact that people are not inclined to want to think about having surgery. Our concept was to make the TV and print ads stand out from the ‘crowd’ of typical health care advertising by using an innovative animated graphic style and to succinctly explain the major benefits of robotic surgery, which is a brand new technique. We also had to convey that this technology is exclusive to Trinity Mother Frances in our region.”
